Regular Courses for Beginners

  • Registration: Daily between 3pm and 8pm (except during Austrian school-holidays).

  • Duration: 60 minutes/week for 1 school year

Intensive Courses for Beginners, starting in January

  • Registration: Daily between 3pm and 8pm (except during Austrian school-holidays).

  • Duration: 90 minutes/week Jan-Jul

Advanced Silver-, Gold-, Gold Star-, and Elmayer Cercle-Level

Sunday night dancing

Each Sunday you can train your skills by dancing whithout instruction and meeting with lots of youth from all our youth courses . You dance freely, if you have questions you can always ask a teacher or trainer to help you.

  • Beginners: Sundays, 5:30pm-6.45pm
  • Advanced: Sundays, 7pm-8.45pm
  • During holidays: Sundays, 7.30pm-10pm
  • Costs: EUR 4,–

Free trial lessons

Free trial lessons are provided one week before the regular start of the Beginner’s Courses. Between September 19th and September 24th you are invited to experience an original Elmayer dance lesson from Monday to Saturday at 5pm for free! Language of instruction is German.

Registration

For a successful registration, please bring two passport photos and have this data ready: Your name, your birthday, your address, your e-mail-address, your telephone number, your school’s name and address, weekday and time you want to take classes.

Please note: Since a lot of our courses are sold out very fast, please think of one or two alternatives to your chosen day/time! Registrations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis. It is not possibe to register online!

Dress Code

There is a strict dress code at Elmayer Dance School!

  • Shoes must have leather soles!
  • Ladies: Blouse/skirt or trouser suit.
  • Gentlemen: Suit/tie.

We reserve the right to refuse entrance for people not adaequately dressed.

Program

  • Viennese Waltz, Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Polka, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, Boogie Woogie, Jive, and Paso Doble.
  • General etiquette and manners, especially: establish contact, greeting, introduction, table manners, dress codes, and dozens of standard situations.

Good Manners are in demand

Every student receives Thomas Schäfer-Elmayer’s Austrian best seller “Früh übt sich und es ist nie zu spät” (ecowin Verlag 2006, 375 pages) as a gift at the end of the course. Our Certificate for Good Manners for ladies and gentlemen can also be obtained free of charges towards the end of the course by passing our test at no cost.

Missed a class? On holidays?

If you miss two classes in a row, you are eligible for one free “Nachlernstunde”  to catch-up with the rest of the class. Please register for the “Nachlernstunde” through our contact-form.
