Notes on dress code:

To ensure the opening committee presents a harmonious and uniform overall appearance, we kindly ask all participants to comply with the following dress requirements:

• Ladies:

  • Floor-length, white ball gown – Pure white is mandatory (no off-white, ivory, eggshell, silver, etc.). Tip: A sheet of white paper helps when comparing. The dress must be floor-length at the front and back, opaque, and without slits.

  • White, closed-toe shoes – Toes must be fully covered.

  • Long, white gloves – Above elbow length

  • Hairstyle – An updo is recommended but not required. It is important that hair is secured so that it does not fall into the face during turns.

  • Simplicity – Please refrain from eye-catching embellishments on the dress or in the hairstyle. No tiaras, Sisi stars, or similar accessories—the committee should present as uniform an appearance as possible.

• Gentlemen:

  • Black suit – Pure black, not dark blue or dark grey. This includes a black bow tie, a white shirt, white gloves, and black patent leather shoes (please obtain these in good time!).

  • Alternatively: a tuxedo or tailcoat with the corresponding accessories.

  • Important: No necktie – Bow tie and patent leather shoes are mandatory.
